Goo Goo Dolls BIO

Formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1986, Goo Goo Dolls grew from punk and alternative beginnings into one of pop rock's enduring bands. The group is led by vocalist and guitarist John Rzeznik and bassist and vocalist Robby Takac. Its 1998 album Dizzy Up the Girl brought widespread success, featuring enduring songs including “Iris,” “Slide” and “Black Balloon.” “Iris,” also associated with the film City of Angels, became a defining song for generations of listeners.

The band's catalog spans more than a dozen studio albums, from A Boy Named Goo and Gutterflower to 2022's Chaos in Bloom. Fans may recognize favorites such as “Name,” “Here Is Gone” and “Big Machine” alongside newer material. The arena bill also features Def Leppard and The Struts; the supplied event information does not specify a set order or opening-act designation.

This Uncasville date offers a Connecticut stop for fans gathering at Mohegan Sun Arena, located within the Mohegan Sun resort. The venue's indoor setting provides a fitting backdrop for a multi-act rock bill and a communal singalong when familiar Goo Goo Dolls songs take the stage.
